Build the infrastructure
powering global crypto
adoption.

Syrax is assembling a small, senior team to design and deliver institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure. This is not a job. It is an opportunity to shape the architecture of what comes next.

Alignment Required

Built for those who
think in decades.

The Syrax ecosystem spans Layer 2 infrastructure, a hybrid CEX/DEX exchange, a global payments layer, a non-custodial wallet, and AI-augmented tooling. We are building across the full stack — and we need people who understand what that means.

Long-Term Vision

Our roadmap spans years, not quarters. Every hire is expected to contribute to architecture and governance decisions that will compound over time. We are not optimising for a short cycle.

Institutional Standards

Syrax is built to meet the expectations of regulators, financial institutions, and professional counterparties. The work we do is held to standards that most blockchain projects do not attempt.

Global Architecture

We are incorporated in the UAE and operate globally. The infrastructure we build must be designed to function across jurisdictions, currencies, and regulatory frameworks from day one.

Ownership Mindset

We do not hire people to execute tickets. Every team member is expected to take ownership of an entire domain — its design, delivery, and long-term trajectory. Accountability without micromanagement.

Shape the Direction

Early team members will have real influence over product architecture, governance structures, and ecosystem strategy. This is a builder's opportunity, not an operator's role.

Leadership Pathways

Syrax is in early build phase. The people joining now are the people who will lead functions, mentor future hires, and define how this organisation scales. This is a founding opportunity.

How we hire,
and why it matters.

  • 01

    Quality over velocity

We will not compromise on the calibre of a hire because of timeline pressure. Every open role will remain open until the right person is found. This is not an environment where bodies fill seats.

  • 02

    Builders over marketers

We want people who have made things — protocols, systems, legal frameworks, operational infrastructure. The ability to articulate the work is secondary to the work itself.

  • 03

    Long-term alignment

We are not looking for people optimising their CV. The roles here carry real ownership — of code, of relationships, of decisions. That requires a commitment to the long arc.

  • 04

    Trust and autonomy

Once you own a domain, you own it. There is no committee for every decision. We operate with a high-trust, high-accountability model. Results matter more than process.

  • 05

    Growth into leadership

Every role has a defined trajectory into broader responsibility. Syrax will scale, and we intend to promote from within. Joining early is the path to leading later.

What we expect from every candidate

Before you apply, consider whether you are genuinely prepared to take on a domain of meaningful complexity with limited oversight — and to treat that domain as yours to defend, improve, and grow.

We move deliberately. We do not recruit in cohorts or run rolling processes. If you are selected, you will know the role, the expectations, and the path forward before you make any commitment.

If that structure appeals to you — if you prefer clarity and responsibility to comfort and ambiguity — then Syrax is worth your time.

Four roles.
Foundational scope.

These positions represent the core of what Syrax is building in its first phase. Each carries real ownership, real accountability, and a direct line to the long-term direction of the ecosystem.

01 · Engineering Full-Time CTO Track
Senior Full-Stack Web3 Engineer
Core engineering leadership role with direct ownership over the full technical stack — from smart contract architecture to frontend product surfaces.
+
Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the full-stack architecture across Syrax's exchange, wallet, and payments products
  • Lead smart contract development, audit readiness, and protocol integration
  • Define and enforce engineering standards, security practices, and code review processes
  • Collaborate directly with protocol and compliance teams on technical requirements
  • Scale the engineering function as the ecosystem grows — hiring, mentoring, leading
Required Experience
  • 5+ years full-stack engineering, with at least 2 years in Web3 / blockchain environments
  • Deep proficiency in Solidity, EVM architecture, and smart contract security
  • Strong command of modern frontend frameworks (React / Next.js preferred)
  • Experience with DeFi protocols, DEX/CEX infrastructure, or payments systems
  • Track record of delivering production-grade systems under real constraints
Growth & Impact

This role is the principal technical voice inside Syrax. The person who takes this position will shape everything from smart contract design to the platform's security posture and engineering culture. The CTO track is not a label — it is the expected destination for the right hire.

02 · Protocol Full-Time ZK Specialist
ZK Infrastructure & Protocol Engineer
Deep protocol role focused on ZK proof system integration, Layer 2 architecture, and the cryptographic foundations of the Syrax chain.
+
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement ZK proof system integration across Syrax's Layer 2 architecture
  • Develop sequencer logic, prover pipelines, and state transition verification systems
  • Build and maintain the cryptographic primitives underpinning settlement and compliance proofs
  • Collaborate with the exchange team on ZK-based trade settlement and proof generation
  • Contribute to external protocol audits and security reviews
Required Experience
  • Deep expertise in ZK proof systems — PLONK, STARK, Groth16, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with ZKSync, StarkWare, or similar Layer 2 infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Rust, Go, or C++ for systems-level protocol work
  • Understanding of EVM compatibility and Layer 1 / Layer 2 bridge architectures
  • Experience contributing to open-source cryptographic or protocol projects
Growth & Impact

The ZK engineer is one of the most technically rare hires in the ecosystem. This role owns the cryptographic integrity of everything Syrax builds. If you have depth in ZK systems and want to apply that knowledge to production financial infrastructure with global scope, this is the role.

03 · Compliance Full-Time VARA Focus
Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
Founding compliance role — responsible for designing the regulatory architecture, leading the VARA licensing process, and building the compliance function from the ground up.
+
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the Syrax compliance architecture across all product lines
  • Lead the VARA licensing application process and regulatory engagement strategy
  • Build AML/CFT frameworks, KYC tier structures, and transaction monitoring systems
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and external compliance providers
  • Advise the engineering and product teams on regulatory requirements at the architecture level
Required Experience
  • 7+ years in financial services compliance, with at least 3 years in digital assets
  • Direct experience with VARA, DFSA, FCA, MAS, or equivalent regulatory engagement
  • Deep knowledge of AML/CFT requirements, FATF standards, and travel rule implementation
  • Experience building compliance programmes from scratch in a regulated environment
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical architecture decisions
Growth & Impact

This role is the regulatory foundation of Syrax. The Head of Compliance will determine how the ecosystem positions itself for licensing, how it engages with regulators globally, and how compliance is embedded into every product. This is not a box-ticking function — it is a strategic, architecture-level role.

04 · Business Development Full-Time Institutional Focus
Head of Institutional Partnerships
Commercial leadership role focused on building institutional relationships, merchant onboarding, and the strategic partnership pipeline for the Syrax ecosystem.
+
Responsibilities
  • Build and manage Syrax's institutional client pipeline across payments, tokenisation, and exchange
  • Lead strategic partnership negotiations with financial institutions, corporates, and asset managers
  • Drive merchant onboarding for the Syrax payment gateway
  • Represent Syrax at institutional events and engage with the UAE digital asset ecosystem
  • Define and implement the commercial go-to-market strategy in coordination with the founding team
Required Experience
  • 7+ years in institutional sales, business development, or partnership management in financial services
  • Existing relationships across the UAE financial services or digital asset ecosystem preferred
  • Deep understanding of institutional needs across custody, payments, and digital asset strategy
  • Experience operating in an early-stage, high-growth environment
  • Ability to engage at C-suite and board level with financial institutions and regulated entities
Growth & Impact

The institutional partnerships function is the commercial engine of Syrax. This hire will determine the calibre of the first cohort of institutional clients, set the tone for how Syrax is perceived in the market, and directly shape revenue generation from day one of regulated operations.
